Membership

The Board of Directors of the California Prevention Collaborative (CPC) invites you and your organization to become a member of the Collaborative.

The primary objectives and purposes of the CPC are:

  • To unite prevention efforts in the common cause of ensuring that all Californians may live free from direct and indirect adverse effects of alcohol, tobacco and other drug (ATOD)-related problems;
  • To establish ATOD prevention conditions under which the health, safety, and well-being of individuals, families, schools and communities can be sustained;
  • To support ATOD prevention policies and actions appropriately applicable to persons of all cultures and communities within our state;
  • To afford ATOD prevention organizations and youth a direct voice in the development of prevention policy and practice; and
  • To collectively promote policies consistent with these beliefs.

We hope that all prevention organizations, providers, researchers, government entities and individuals with an interest in or passion for prevention will join the California Prevention Collaborative.  Your membership is vital to keeping prevention strong in California through the following:
  • Visibility – Ensuring that prevention has an active voice and representation at the state, county and community levels.
  • Strategic Systems/Grass Roots – Ensuring CPC participation by a broad, diverse and representative cross-section of California’s prevention field.
  • Convening the Field – Providing input to planning and implementing the Annual California Prevention Summit conference.  Members will also receive a discount on CPC Summit registration fees.
  • Advocacy – Ensuring that the CPC’s key principles are advanced and promoted at all levels to keep prevention strong in California.

Your membership also entitles you to a discounted registration fee at the CPC Summit, preferential listing on the CPC website, priority selection to serve as an Exhibitor at the Summit, linkages to other coalitions with shared interests, and many other benefits.
